Elia Vignoli received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electronics engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, in 2020 and 2022, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Technologies. He is an expert of mm-wave radars for vital signs monitoring, with a particular emphasis on the development of new detection and estimation algorithms.

Giorgio Guerzoni received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy, in 2016, 2018 and 2022, respectively. He is an expert of multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) radars and machine learning, with an emphasis on the development of novel detection and estimation algorithms. He is a finalist of the Start Cup Emilia-Romagna 2022 competition.

Pasquale Di Viesti, Ph.D.

Pasquale Di Viesti received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Modena, Italy, in 2016 and 2018, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in automotive for intelligent mobility from the University of Bologna, in 2021. He is an expert in the area of statistical signal processing and multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) radars. He is a finalist of the Start Cup Emilia-Romagna 2022 competition.

Prof. Giorgio Matteo Vitetta

Giorgio Matteo Vitetta received the Dr. Ing. Degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Pisa, Italy, in 1990 and 1994, respectively. He holds the position of Full Professor of Telecommunications at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia since 2001. His main research interests lie in the broad areas of wireless and wired data communications, localization systems, multiple-input–multiple-output (MIMO) radars. He has co-authored more than 100 papers published on international journals and the proceedings of international conferences, and has co-authored the book Wireless Communications: Algorithmic Techniques (John Wiley, 2013). He participated in the Start Cup MoRe 2008 and Telecom Working Capital Accelerator 2013 competitions.
